Random Camel Photo - and yes... it is related to knitting

As many of you know, I have a thing for camels. Any camel photo is welcome here! Well, MDC just made a trip to Dubai, where she got a shot of this camel.

To my surprise, it was also knitting related. Ironically, she did not know I had taken up knitting since the last time I saw her.

Take a look at that muzzle!!!

Edit: Shall we have a camel spit guard knit a long?

Edit #2: There is a write in campaign to the comments section that this muzzle or spit guard may in fact be crocheted.

Edit #3: I have created a button for the Camel Spit Guard Knit-A-Long. Perhaps it will take off the ground.

If you stop over at my blog, I have a neat picture of a camel that was at our local gas station today.

He didn't have a nifty knitted spit guard. He did, however, have his own bus.

Thanks for stopping by my blog ...your comment made my morning.

Yes, a knit along might be good. Actually, I think that might be crochet, but we could adapt.

I know if *I* was driving the camel I would appreciate a spit guard. :-)

Oooh, now I'm on the search for llama spit-guards (similar camelid trait, I suppose). Maybe a felted one could be water/spitproof!

oh that is SOOOO funny! i knit, and we have llamas, and everyone's first question is always: do they spit? (well, uh, yes, sometimes...)

you've found the answer! knit 'em spitguards!

although they'll probably spit at me when i try to put one ON them...
