Knit Swiftly!

At our weekly Stitch n Bitch last weekend, I decided to use the time to just organize some stash. So I brought some Koigu with me to roll into balls...

It was a short little project.

It was innocent enough.

It was a friggin train wreck.

And I wasn't even drinking while knitting.

There was Koigu all over the road in bloody, twisty knots. Coffee drinkers at the next table were rubbernecking, just to see what a friggin disaster area it was. The knitting police were there setting up baracades, saying "Move along... there's nothing to knit here..."

I did it. I broke down and bought myself a swift on ebay. At $31 plus S&H, I was happy. I had to bid about 20 times to win one though. It seems everybody wants a swift. Go figure.

Oh what a difference a swift makes. Even ICP became interested. I guess the only way to get men interested in knitting is to throw some form of technology into the picture, no matter how "primitive" it might be.

"An action shot? Is that what you're doing?"

"Mmmm...hmmm."

"That's the most boring thing I have ever seen in my life."

"What? Let's look! Oooooooo... It is from Star Trek. Woo-ooo-woo-ooo!"

"You're a freak. You really are."
