How do you make multicolor ribbon yarn look good...?

.... wrap it around a project knitted in Manos del Uruguay yarn, in French Blue, of course!!

What? What is that, you say, oh brilliant Zeeknits? Is Bashir's Momma becoming a yarn snob?

Could be.

I decided to make something for RB in Boston, for all those times she hosted me, and invited me to her parties and shin-digs. Then a chance visit to Wild and Wooly in Lexington (ack! No website?!) gave me a clue that she liked blue. Now, an easy projet...

I stumbled across this mistake rib scarf that used 2 skeins of Manos by Girl on the Rocks. I altered the pattern on her blog to

cast on 33 stitches on 10 1/2 needles
knit in “mistake rib” - Right side and Wrong side rows are knit the same:
K2, P2 for the whole row and end K2 P1.

Easy as pie.

I think I wold have liked it a bit longer - maybe with may only 27 or 29 stitches cast on.

But I like it. Hope RB does, too.

Uh Oh! I think Mr. Calvin even likes the idea of a Manos del Uruguay knitted project... Get off the friggin table, you bad dog!!

Speaking of dogs, I think the next major project will have to be a redo of the dog coat... It's getting cold out there!

Coming up soon - some photos from Graceland ( I hope!!) from the pilgrimage in the 90s. And more camelids in the news!

I couldn't make this stuff up, even if I tried...

Very nice! That blue reminds me of faded denim. And nice use of the ribbon yarn;)
