Not real dogs

Sometimes I feel like my life is centered around these three basenjis. Sometimes it's true.

But they sure are cute, especially when they are not tearing up the furniture, jumping on our guests, or eating my clothes out of the hamper. They are our demolition experts.

A basenji is often referred to as a cat in a dog's body. I don't know if this is true, but they are not like real dogs. Not really.
Basenjis do not bark. Instead, they "yodel." They will often clean themselves, almost like cats. The behavioral characteristics of the breed are unusual, at best. ICP often asks Bashir why he isn't a real dog. So far, he has not answered.

Everyone, meet our basenjis. From left to right, they are Momma Roz, Mr. Calvin, and Baby Bashir. Roz and Mr. Calvin came from BRAT - Basenji Rescue and Transport.

My favorite description is from "This American Life": People say they're barkless, but they howl. So it's like a person who can't talk, but can only scream.

Did you change the background? I like this one, whether it's a new one or not.
